Talented local photographers will see their stunning images of the Manx countryside and farming scenes featured in the 2021 Isle of Man Meats calendar.
More than 400 entries were received for the competition which urged snappers on the Island to send in farm livestock and landscape images.
The prize for each winner is one meat pack worth £50, plus a copy of the calendar. Their photos will be used to promote Isle of Man Meats in 2021. The meat packs will be provided by the calendar sponsors — A&J Quality Butchers, Tommy Campbell Traditional Quality Butchers, Tate’s Traditional Butchers, Ballakelly Farm, Andreas Meat Co, Radcliffes Butchers, W.E Teare, Manx Local Butchers, Lee Mayers Traditional Butchers and Bacon Curers, Co-Op, Shoprite, and Tesco. All the sponsors are stockists of Isle of Man Meats products.
Kirree Kermode, Procurement Officer at Isle of Man Meats, said: “This is the first time we have produced a calendar. Thank you to everyone who entered the competition, and many congratulations to the winners. We were overwhelmed with the number and quality of the images — it was fantastic to see so many superb photos which reflect how Manx farmers care for livestock and the rural landscape.”
