Commonly referred to as ‘The Royal Show’, for well over a century it has been an annual highlight for the whole community in the Isle of Man. Over two days every August it attracts thousands of visitors from across the Island to enjoy entertainment for all the family — including opportunities to taste and buy the very best local produce and see the finest livestock on show. Like farming and agriculture on the Island, the show has evolved and adapted to the times throughout its history, but its focus has always been on celebrating quality. That’s important to us at Isle of Man Meats, and it’s one of many reasons why the show is always a ‘must’ event for us to attend so that we can bring our great-tasting products to customers old and new.

‘The Southern’ as it is often called began in 1914 and like the Royal Manx Agricultural Show it continues to attract visitors from communities across the Island. Held over two days every July the Southern Agricultural Show takes place in Castletown, the Isle of Man’s ancient capital. It’s a celebration of the very best locally-bred livestock, and locally produced food and drink. For Isle of Man Meats the Southern Agricultural Show is a great place to meet our fantastic customers, and introduce more people to our great tasting products by trying out some new recipes.
